Off the Beaten Path – “Forced Evolution”

listen now subscribe yak with the host

Lynn Ward Breast cancer survivor, St. Augustine artist Eleanor Hughes, shares her story of healing as depicted in her recent show, “Forced Evolution”.

I was moved to tears with the power and love of the fourth panel in the series, “All Together”, which represents the love and support Eleanor received from family, friends and her therapist. In her Artist’s Statement, Eleanor says: “I’m not interested in painting in a photorealistic way, but as an emotional response to what I see. In my figurative work I want to convey a story or a feeling.”

Eleanor

In “Forced Evolution” she tells her story powerfully, and the love and healing shine through!

She describes the evolutionary process as “so much change I thought I couldn’t even look the same”.

Be sure to listen all the way to the end, where Eleanor shares what changes she made in her lifestyle as part of being conscious of the choices she makes for her health!
